Please, Can We All Be Nice & Fair With Each Other.

This is a rant about civility, transparency, accountabiity, fairness and downright good human behavior things I go days without seeing in the wild.

I find it absolutely amazing how impossible it is to get a price for a medical procedure or lab test. 

It is totally unacceptable that one of the most needed services in the world can not tell you what it costs.

Also would everyone quit trying to pass junk fees off as "Fuel Surcharges" or "Compliance Fees. " if you drive for your job or need to be compliant this is a cost of doing business PERIOD

If you take credit cards for the convenience of your clients, it is a cost of doing business. Charging a 3% credit card fee on a $4.00 cup of coffee is childish. Just raise the price to $4.25, smile, provide a good service and increase profit by 4%.

If you are a landscaper doing a spring clean up, blowing the leaves under the hedges is not cleaning up, get a rake and take the leaves with you. 

PE buying up local service companies (HVAC and Plumbing) is "no bueno". Prices are going sky-high for nothing. I had a 'technician" try and charge a client of mine $385 to clue together PVC Pipes, three joints. My daughter build a full gymnastics center out of PVC pipes for her American Girl doll at 9 years old. Cut, glued and assembled, even painted. My point is sure somethings are "techinical" $385 for doing something my awesome daughter could do at 9 is only raising the cost of home ownership.

I was pissed when the HBS guy decided if you removed one pickle from the jar profit would go up, but the fact that major appliances now last 4-7 years is appalling. Is an economy based on obscelense sustainable?

If you are FaceTiming or making an "influencer video" while driving, well somethings just go better off unsaid....

Bottom line, we all need to be nicer to each other, consider unintended consequences of our actions, and make money by honestly providing great service, NOT gimmicks, laziness, hubris and lack of transparency.

Please.
